CEO New Year Message

Happy New Year to our membership!

As we welcome the start of 2026, I want to extend my deepest appreciation to each of you for your commitment to advance safety across our healthcare system. I have witnessed over this past year your dedication, expertise, and collaboration continue to shape safer environments for patients, families, and the workforce that serves them.

The past 12 months reminded us once again that safety is not a destination it is to be a part of our daily work, viewed as a shared responsibility, and a collective promise where safety is a priority for all. Together, we enhanced our programs and services, strengthened our partnerships, and demonstrated what is possible when our membership and system partners unite around a common purpose.

In the year ahead, our focus remains clear: to champion a culture of safety that is resilient, evidence based, and compassionate. We will continue to support our members with practical tools, development and delivery of safety programs, and opportunities for meaningful connection across the healthcare safety community. Most importantly, we will continue to listen and do our best to see that your insights and input guide our priorities and shape the resources you need most.

Thank you all for your leadership and for the vital role you play in protecting the wellbeing of those who deliver and receive care. I am so pleased by what we have accomplished together, and with confidence look forward to all that we will achieve in the year ahead.
