Workplace Assessment Violence Education (WAVE) program©
Understanding the frequency and severity of incidents related to violence, as well as a workers’ ability to identify, manage and/or eliminate risks at the time the task is to be performed; will assist in determining the most suitable violence intervention program for your organization.
W.A.V.E. focuses on increasing awareness, understanding the proper approach and emphasizes the need to work in the “safe zones” so that healthcare workers are safe while on and off the job. The Saskatchewan Association for Safe Workplaces in Health (SASWH) acknowledges the Saskatoon Health Region’s (SHR) dedication to develop the W.A.V.E. program. Through the collaborative effort with the SHR, SASWH is pleased to host the e-learning program and provide Saskatchewan’s healthcare system with access to the program.
W.A.V.E. resources and an e-learning program are available to SASWH members who have committed to implementing the program.
